Alicia Witt began performing music on screen as a child, even though she is better known for being an actress. She has also been a musician and song writer. While working mostly as a pianist, she released an eponymous EP in 2009 that showcased her clear debt to the likes of Elton John and Billy Joel as well as a confident and warm voice that matched the music. Revisionary History (produced by Ben Folds) was her first album for studio in the year 2015. The album was followed by other releases including 2021's The Conduit, which marked her first time as a co-producer. Alicia Witt made her first film appearance in the role of Alia Atreides in David Lynch's 1984 adaptation of Frank Herbert's Dune. In fact, she appeared onscreen more often than she recorded, returning to duty for Lynch in a 1990 episode of Twin Peaks and then regularly showing up on film as well as on TV over the following two decades, breaking through when she appeared in the film Mr. Mr.
